INTRODUCTION TO SOME ULTRASOUND SCAN EXAMS WE DO WITH 3D MACHINES
Asaba Ultrasound Scan Centre is a specialized center in Ultrasound Scan. Our services are all - include:
Upper Abdominal Scan and Heart: Liver Gallbladder Pancreas, Kidneys, Spleen, Stomach etc. And Heart are examined.
General Abdominal Scan: The entire organs in the Abdominal are explored.
ROUTINE OBSTETRICS
We confirm well being.
We check when the Pregnancy started (LMP) and the expected date of Delivery (EDD).
We confirm how old the 'baby1 is, the weight, size and
the sex.
We confirm the presentation, location and lie of the
baby'
We confirm health and position of the placenta.
We can carefully and pains-takingly give you the BIOPHYSICAL PROFILE SCORE of your "baby'.
We check if there is any fibroids etc. In the cervical region that can cause difficulty or obstructive labour.
VERY EARLY OEISTETRICS / PREGNANCY:
Our Ultrasound machine can dictate with very high accuracy a month pregnancy, (this may sometime involve the use of transvaginal scan).
We can confirm whether the pregnancy is in the womb, (normal in position) or not i.e. whether it is normal or
ectopic pregnancy.
We check if there is any threat e.g. Big fibroids, or uterine anomaly to this early life.
We can confirm when the pregnancy started (LMP)
and the date of delivery (EDD).
PROSTATE SCAN:
Explores prostate and its disorders such as:
prostatitis, BPH, Prostrate Cancer etc.
Our enhanced trans-rectal probe makes this possible for us.
NB: PRE-MARITAL SCAN EXAMS: (in females and males) to Confirm normal pelvic organs are obtainable with modern machines (probes) like ours.
INFERTILITY SCAN
FEMALE INFERTILITY:
(a) Pelvic and Gynaecology Scans: the Womb, ovaries and the region of fallopian tubes are examined.
(b) Ovulation Monitoring scan to confirm Normal Ovulation or if a woman is not ovulating. It can also confirm abnormal ovulation patterns.
(cj Scan for other causes of infertility such as Fibroids,
Ovarian tumours and Adnexa Masses.
NB: Ovulation monitoring can help a woman (couples) to preselect sex of the 'baby1. However, this is not 100% accurate.
MALE INFERTILITY
(a) Testes and Scrota! Scans
(b) ? Varicoceles and rule out Hydrocele
(c) Male Adnexa - seminal vesicles, vas deferens and ejaculatory duct.
(d) Prostrate.
*• BREAST SCAN: Breast tormours and masses such as cancer, adenomas and lumps.
* THYROID SCAN: For Goitre and Neck masses.
* SUBCUTANEOUS SCAN i.e. Below the skin
* SMALL PARTS: Such as Eyes etc.
